I’m a painter, graphic designer, and educator from the corn-filled MidWest. I escaped to Japan for five years to follow my dream of world travel. While in the land of samurai and giant robots, I rediscovered my love of game editing, collectable cards, and board games. It followed me into the classroom and I started designing games for my students in class. My designs began to transform my students into passionate and motivated learners! After three years, I got better at making things fun, engaging, and easy to learn. But as my contract neared its end, game design called to me from across the ocean.  Now I’m back in the States to take it on full time.

This blog chronicles my career shift into game design. I’m super excited. Please enjoy this dumping ground for my thoughts and my work.
